....Enter the Dragon.......

....the Dragon  is  a  methodical  lot......they r here & thr presence is  being  felt.....had  few Chinese  frnds at  School nd was exposed  to their  clinical approach  to  sports  &  studies without betraying  any  emotions....the  same feel  is  here , whn  post Clinic in  the afternoon  stroll  of  a home return past  their  Bridge  site , connecting Male' City to  the  Airport....clinically,  they  hv put shop  here with  effortless  ways  of  construction , now at its very  basic level  towards the  huge  300 million USD  project  of  connecting  Male' to Hulhule  across  the  sea....I am impressed , the way they  hv begun silently with  their own people of  the 2nd Harbour Engg.Co  CCCC.....whn u see something  for real  with  ur own  eyes  u  got to  believe  nd  give  credit....over the  yrs  post independence , post Panchsheel  the Mac MahonLine  of  the Eastern  sector  between India & China  &  Dalai Lama's Refuge  into India with  his Tibetan Govt  in exile @ Dharamshala  has  been a bone  of contention &  a sad  road  block  to  frndly  neighbourly  relations with China, who  happens to  be  an equally  old  deep rooted  Civilisation with  deep cultural ties  with  Ancient India......it  was but  natural tht  these  too giants  of Populace  wud hv forged  a strong  relationship nd  bolstered the region as a potent global  player.....but it  was  not to  be......the  Dictatorial &  the Democratic  had  to  clash......in   so, the larger  interest  for  the  region long  lost.....until  recently  a strong  economy, ...... PRC is  no push over......now at our backyards  forging  newer relationship  in  quest  for  hegemony.....it  need  not hv happened  this  way....the  two  Gr8  nation had  lot many things in  common....Hiuen Tsang , Fahien , Buddhism all  in    our  own  knowledge....trade routes ....monasteries , Nalanda , Taxila Universities , which  Chinese scholars frequented.......Just b'cos the Dalai Lama came , or just b'cos the Mac mahon line was not in Order....the  current circumspection in our relationships persists.....smaller countries  like Maldives , free  frm  any  strings of  the  past is exploring  newer camaraderie , in  tht  a huge tourism sector boost of Chinese Tourists for  the last five yrs is here ,  with  ,  directs flts  to Shanghai & Beijing, Hongkong, surely   an indicator......however  the respective  high  decibel  visit of leaders  of  both India  & China  to  each  others  country  is  welcome change , indicating  a strong trading  partnership.......for  Ground  realities  demand  tht.....as it  is  here......!!!!
