...yes Asheer(Colombo), Vasco da Gama's Voyage is the watershed area , wherein Europe comes in contact with the Sub continent....the trio of Megallen , Columbus & Da Gama ar immortal Navigators who changed the destiny of the Future World......there can be nothing more Challenging , Chivalrous, Adventurous thn discovering Unknown territory by Charting Course on unKnown treacherous waters, sans Modern day technology......I consider this effort as Epitome of the Indomitable Human Spirit......as DaGama reaches Calecut , after an Odyssey across the Cape of Gud Hope, & numerous stop overs in the African East coast, veering straight eastwards across the Bay called Arabian Sea, he is received by the Indigenous Moors & an audience with Christian King camolin(Zamorin), his friendly interactions, nd Jealous Moors of Arabic origin who thought tht the Christian King will now trade with Portugal resulting in depreciation of the Arabic Traders....resulting in his detention & subsequent release & departure....very dramatic indeed.......
