...the year is coming to an end...a momentous year professionally and travel nd tourism wise....departing India in Jan... visiting Japan in June..... and in the interim a brisk medical practice almost taking our breath away only to return back this Dec. for the annual vacation...as I write... I,am in India ...the Pujan of December 14th@New home in sector 65 Gurgaon brings us back again to the quintessential  city nd we r entrenched as never before...thank all fmlys nd friends....our immediate kins for making this year memorable....as we visit our parents, kins....we r now.....shud I say.... Gudbye time..... yet again....across the Laccadive sea to the Maldives isles...yet again to be....amongst....friends,fmlys,teachers,Patients nd hospital colleagues...heralding a New year.... Wishing all a Very Happy prosperous healthy New yr.....God Bless....God be with....!!!

......The final lap......

....The final lap is being negotiated....as 12th December we are home bound.....School Hols commences today....2019 is a landmark yr......the Clinic was at its brim overflowing copiously.....immense strength Good Lord provided for a service on war footing @clinic....the Japan trip of May -June a learning experience for the kids and a welcome brk  for all of us....the final lap is painful.....painful as thr will be severance frm my patients who patiently wait for me day in and day out....thr heart will be one of melancholy as I will part....the Island Sun....the Deep Blu....a mute testimony to all that I represent....!!!

.....the  rains  seems  to be never  going away  as  NOVEMBER is  ushered in shortly....the temperature is cool as  SUN God drifts away frm us.....the  rains cooling further ....welcome  national holiday today & to  top  it  all for  us its  'BHAI PHONTA' OR BHAI DOOJ today wherein sister

s  will anoint  their  brothers  wishing  thm  longlife just as  'YAMA' who is the  GOD of  Death & who  is Immortal....as  my  two  sisters  called  me wishing  me longlife  anointing  all of us :  3  brothers  on their  puja  ghar  walls as  we  are  far  away ......with holy water  ganges , kajal, curd  ,vermillion......our bonds  reinvented  and  rejuvenated .....reinvigorated.......across the  laccadives , little Arnav gets anointed  on his forehead by  Doel his elder sister....the island SUN, the deep blu  sea a  mute  testimony  to  their  bondage  far  far  away  frm  their  native  land....year  after  year as they  grow frm strength  to strength..... 
as  the festivity mnths r  underway....its  exam  time  for  the  kids .....plans  r afoot  thereafter in mid  Dec.for another  crossing  over the  LACCADIVE SEA....!!!!

....heavy rains continue to lash the Island....the sea wearing a grim look after being sedate for the better part of the day....back home, reports frm Bihar nd Jharkhand r mixed with some places experiencing heavy rains amidst the festive season....the festive season is damp definitely there after the recent floods....shorn of any festivity here....rain or no rain affects the traffic only as streets r flooded temporarily ....personally the rains nd clinic trips clash....but thn the sprightly movement is generated....yr after yr the story goes on ....

......2nd October  is Gandhi Jayanthi ....Gandhiji  was  born  in 1869 & was  far ahead of  his  time ...Educated  both  in  India  &  The  west , he  was  a lucky  few  to  have had  a  comfortable  life  nd  tutelage  in  his  formative  yrs ...his  expat career as a barrister in Durban SA & his return to India  after  a  successful  stint  thr  practising  law , serving in  the  Boer war as  a health  volunteer &  fighting  against apartheid ....armed  with  such  rich  experience  he  embarked  upon  a  gradual movement within  the  ambit  of  Law  for greater  rights  of  fellow  Indians which  finally  resulted  in  his  clarion  call  to  the  British  in  1942 to  quit India ...His role was a massive  galvanising capacity & God  presented  him  to  India  his  homeland at  an  opportune  moment  to  secure  her  freedom frm  the  British  yoke ...
Gandhiji  was as  spontaneous  as  a  free  flowing  rivulet ....as  clear  in  the  mind  as  a  clear  summer  sky  ....as strong nd  flexible so  as  to  drive  his  teachings  home ....his  teachings were all applied aspects of  Life , simple  to comprehend  nd  put  into  practice  ....Gandhiji  was  far  ahead  of  his  times  nd  still relevant  ...Two  of  His  famous quotes  is  close  to heart ...Quote  " ...the  future  depends  on  what  we  do  in  the  present  ...."

.....A City ...an Old ....Anew....

....frm 9th  instant  to  the  20th  a  jet  setting  pace  evolved  as  had  to  hurry  to  native  city  Gurugram....leaving  Archana  & Children  behind in  the  Isles...Sprucing  up  the  sector  15  abode , a strong  sense  of  satisfaction  envelopes....as  the  house  donned  a  fresh  coat  of  paint  with  furnitures  nd  fixtures  refurbished ....holding  on  to  the  rails  of  the  balcony  ,  the  city  wore  a  familiar  milieu , just  as we  had  left  its  precincts 14  yrs  back ,  castaway  in  an  Isle  of  the  Maldivian  archipelago  near  the  Equator ...as  I  trudged  nd traversed  the  Old  city  ,  re identifying  &  re bonding  with  frnds  nd  fmlys  alike, meeting  older  Society  people  nd  ever  smiling  staffers  ...  This  is  the  city  we  saw  coming  up  fiercely  in  the  nineties  ,  this  the   city we  left  at  its  Zenith,  this  the  City  still  clinging  to  us  holding  us  tight  as  ever  ....as  the  D Day  of  a  further  possession  of  an  upscale  unit  in  an  100  acre  township  in sec  65 drew  close  ,  my  heart  skipped  a  beat  ...the  new  home had  to  be taken  charge  as dates  were  fixed  for  formalities  of  a  handover ....as  I  sipped  Tea in  my old  refurbished  home with  strong  smell  of  paint all  around , a  sense  of  rootedness engulfs  , severing  ties frm  here  was  a  tough  decision  , a  bold  step  towards  the  unknown  ....hence the  solitude of  home  nd  back  to  its  cosy  environs  comforts  me  ...the  new  home  in  plush  environs  with  ample  breathing  space  in  the  gated  township fortified  my  thoughts of strong  entrenchment to  this  soil ,  wherever  nd  whtever  I  am  ...!!!....as in  between  these  formalities , I  shuttled frm  two  premier  medical  institutions  of  the  City  ,  Fortis  nd  Medanta  ,  for  routine  consultations  nd  investigations  ....waiting  in  the  Q's  as  a  patient  with  medical  documents  ,  visiting  the  hospital  cafeterias  ,  waiting  area   lounges  ,  labs  , nd  facing  huge  Q's  in  the  Lifts ....the  city  bursting  onto  its  seams  ....marvellous  job  we  Indians  r doing  in  catering  to  indigenous  nd  foreign  patients  ...the  pressure  of  the  populace   is  evident  everywhr....nd  a  generation  of  smile  in  service  rendering  I  found  it  to  be  fantastic  ....India  is  different  .....an undercurrent  of  a feel gud  factor  always felt....!!!....happy  to  hv met  few  illustrious  sr  colleagues which  augmented  the  feel  gud  factor  further ...!!!...as I landed  back  to  the  Isles, resuming    nd  traversing the  patient  area , a deep  sense  of  humbleness nd  gratitude engulfed, for  all  my  people  waiting  here  patiently...fortified  as  I  am now  after  the Sabbatical ...!!!

  

....Failures are the Pillars of success....

......at 1.2 km from the Lunar surface , India  lost contact with the  Lunar  module , past midnite , after  successfully hovering  over  the  South pole  of  Moon....there  is  a  pall  of  gloom at  the possible  failure  of  the  mission  called Chandra Yan 2 ....Science  is all  about making  human lives safe  secure  & easy with  Discovery  & Invention....of  hit & trial....of  experiments & its share of success & failures.....marching ,  with  infinite  & indefatiguable energy , conquering newer horizons , setting  aside  the  setback......this the  spirit  of  Humans  which  is  insurmountable ....the  Unconquerable  nature  of  the  Human  Spirit  has  no  parallel till  date  in  the  Cosmos , as  far  as  we  know  of  it  with  vast  stretches  of  desolation all  around  us  .....the  Moon  is  one  such  desolate  place  challenging  our  frontiers  &  limits ....its  no  wonder  , our  spirited  nature  will  continue  to  knock  at  its  door  till   we  subjugate  &  unravel  its  mystery  ....even  if  it  means  repeated  missions  .....ISRO & our  nation  is  a  resilient  bunch ....our  never  say  die  approach  will propel  us  further .....Long  Live  India....!!!!

...its  a  warm  Friday  , overcast , as  Arnav visits his frnd :a  leisure trip  few  blocks away...armed  with  a  toy  bazooka  ,  a  pack  of  cards...as Chandrayan 2 is now  in  the  moon's orbit...thr  is  a  chill of thrill running  down  the  spine  as  Sept  7th  is  the  D Day , whn  Vikram lander  will choose  a  soft  landing  spot  on  the  lunar  surface  ,  with  Pragyan  the  rover  to  roll  out  for  further  exploration of  the  moon ...as a  prelude we  sat  today  : a  holiday  morn  watching  videos  of  "astronomical  proportions ....!!!..." an  awe  inspiring  journey  of  our  Solar  System  & beyond....all the  conflicts  raging  on  our  Blue  planet appearing miniscule  , as the  enormity  of  the  Universe  belittles  our  devilish  self  ...LIGHT  YRS  ,  TRILLION  MILES  will  surely  hv  sobering  effect  ....even the  TV news  appear kiddish  with  so  much  time  being  wasted...must ,  say  here , its  time  to  look  forward  & beyond  for  the  betterment  of  our  progeny  ....!!!...Owing  so  much  to  our  beautiful  planet  with  its soothing  embalming  environs  sustaining  Life , its  time  we  set  our  goals  & priorities  right....developing  & ever  preserving  ...!!!

....15th August....India Independence Day......

.....facing  the  cool  sea breeze and  gaze fixed unto  the horizon ,a sense of freedom is felt as  far  as  the  eyes  can  go  ...as  the   speed  boat   rumbles  fast  conquering the  sea , as  our  movement is unhindered  , unimpeded....the cool breeze grazing past ,soothing  , cooling  in  the  process , furthering  our  progress.....Freedom truly  felt , dignifying our mundane  existence .....Freedom  is  the  root  cause  of  all  happiness....priceless and  fortifying .....freedom  lost  is the death of a soul  bonded  in  slavery.....Today we  as  a  Nation  turn  73 enjoying  every  inch  of  freedom  our  forefathers  handed  over   to  us  ....free  from  foreign  domination   .....a  painful   heart  wrenching saga of foreign invasions  and rule by   force.....that  we  endured  these invaders  and  gained  our  freedom  in  the  last  century and  being  part  of  this  newly  found freedom  in  our  life  time  is  no  mean  achievement  ....we  are  blessed  as  we   truly  imbibe  the   nascent  air  of  freedom  with  a  vibrant  democracy....the Indian garland  of ethnicity, religion , diversity all in  one  string  of  being  a  Bharatiya represent  the  tru  soul  of  freedom ....on  the  occasion  of  73rd  Independence  Day ,frm across the  Laccadive  Sea we extend  our  Goodwishes and felicitations for a  strong resurgent India.....Long Live India ......!!!!

   

Short break

...the short back to back  holidays  on  account  of  festivity  here with  coolness all around  as  Rain Gods  r  back   to   business   ,  with  better part  of   the  day  wet....lucky  as   we  returned  frm  a  resort  without  any  event  as   the  sea  tends   to  get   rough in  rain....the  resort  stay  was  comparitively  drier  nd  the  water   was  warm.....the   Maldivian  waters azure crystal  clear  nd  warm  makes  this  place so  very  popular....the  clinic wore  a  deserted  look as festivity kept  the  routine away  .....

  

....Arnav's Birthday.....

...a pricey book  of  Melt Down by  Jeff  kiney  enticed  the kid  to  an  unbound  joy  as  he  rummaged  thru  the  book  shelf only  to  be  declined   by  me  ....the  fleeting  sadness  evident  on  his  face  only  to  regain  his  composure  ....2 days  of  hopping  nd stepping  in  the  various  book shops  ^ Lo ...!!...managed  a piece  at  half  the  price...happy  , happy  , happy  as  he  devoured  the  pgs  in  real  quicktime .....to  be  read  again  nd  again ....realising  the  importance of  a  decision.....

  today is my son's B day ....a decade of his fledgling life nd  rich experience ....God bless Him  and  God  be   with him  always....a prototype of his Late grandpa....many  a  trait visible now  tht  he is  ten....now  exposed  to  the  Eastern World as  far as  the  far  east  may  his  forays  into the  rest  continue ever  after....my die hard plans till he  is  on  his  own.....a bag  ful  of  rich  experience  nd  interactions  is  the  yardstick augmented  by  kindness  ,  humbleness, will  be  the  further  propellant ...May the  Blessings  garnered  further  him  fast  forward.....

...as the GSLV MK III roared into space with CHANDRAYAAN2 thr is a warmth now in all our hearts saluting our space programme....since 1947 it has been a long way...

......the beleagured commune....!!!

.....July looks  like  being  very  very  brisk  indeed.....as the  disease frnt  wears  a  grim  look with  its tentacles cutting  across  all  layers  .....a  small  Capital City  ,  one  of  the  densely  populated  region  of  the  world  ,  it  doesnot  come  as  a   surprise  .....the  Rain  Gods  playing  Truant ....the  humid  nd  warm  condition  ideal  for  sporadic  outbrk....the clinic  door  flaps  like  the  heart  valves  wrkin  overtime.....there  is   definitely  a  sprightly  movement  now  as  I hastily labour  myself  into  the  arena  like  a  gladiator  to  annihilate  nd  stem  the  rot...the  Japanese sojourn  doing  me  real good 

........as  the  fraction of  the  humility  rubbed  on  to  me  thr  subjugating   me  further  in  deliverance....God  Bless  us all  and  the  Community....!!!!

.....the  monsoon  breaks in  sporadically   ,  the  temp   definitely  on  the   higher   side as   compared   to  yesteryer ,  truly   the  Island character   changing ...the  onslaught  of   modernity   a  telling  efffect  on  the   ecosystem  here...with  10  story  high rises a   order  of  the  day  with  huge  amt  of  concrete  blocks  the   heat  had  to  be  felt  ....the  previously   Coconut  palm  skyline now  vanished , such  is  the  price  of  modernity  ....truly  since  Jan the  heat  is  being  felt   extraordinarily nd  hospital corridor  is full....
...The  recent  trip   did  us   real   gud   ,  as  we  r  back  2  basics  with  enthusiasm nd   refreshned ....with  Monsoons  around  the   temp   must   go  down  nd   a  much  needed  respite ......

....Japan trip of May last....

....as usual during  mid  Ramadaan the butterflies  did  their  rounds nd took  us   to  the   far   east   to  the  land  of  the  Rising  Sun....Japan....tru  to  the  ease  of  things  here  the  carrier  of  choice  Sri  Lankan  took  us  to   Tokyo  in  the  last   week  of  May    via   Colombo  now our favorite  transit  airport....since  March the trip  was  on the  anvil, but  the  choice  of  the  nation  zeroed  on  at   the  last  moment....Tanzania, Zimbabwe with  transit  at  Zambia   for  the  Victoria Falls , with  Serengeti  ,  Tangerine National  parks of Tanzania  nd Mt Kilimanjaro  was  high  on agenda , with  children  researching  nd  studying  ardently....but  ,  the   14  day  vacation  appeared  to  be  short  for   such  a  massive   programme nd  hence  had  to  kept  in  the  backburner  for  the  time  being   much  to  the  annoyance of  the  children.....as  I broached  on  the  subject  of  the  far  east ,it  was  well  received  nd  thus  the  trip  was  consummated....Truly ,  we  r  happy  tht  it  happened  to  be  this  way as Japan trip  was  mandatory  as  this  would  quite  suffice  the  list  of  the  great Asian cities  to  which  the  children  recently  visited  in  the  last  few  yrs,  namely...Bangkok, Kualalumpur,Siem Reap, Melakka, Shanghai  . Xian  ,  Beijing,  with  Tokyo  and  Hokkaido  Sapporo, Kyoto , Enoshima  over  the  Pacific nd  Mt  Fuji to  compensate for  Mt  Kilimanjaro....!!!
Japanese culture got  rubbed  on  us  for  a  fortnite....kindness, cleanliness, ,  nd  low  decibel  all round with punctuality....nd  a deep  respect  for  age old  traditions.....on the  Pacific  ring  of  fire ....the  children  were  exposed  to  mild  tremor  on  the  very  first  day  of  arrival....nd  of  course  by  choice  to  the   volcanic  region  of  Noberibetsu....which  they witnessed  with  enthusiasm....!!!
I planned  every  day  trip  meticulously    with  huge  amount  of  resources...customised to  the  children needs...using the  public  transports ....the  Japan  Rail  Pass.....for  me  personally  being a  Railway man  to  the  core  as   we  had   3  generations  of  Indian  Railway  men  in  our  fmly nd  my  stint  in  the  Indian  Railways ....Japan  Rail  system gave  me  a  gr8  comfort  nd  mobility nd  deep  sense of  satisfaction  using  the   JR  Pass which  was  unlimited in  its  extent...!!!!....the   day lite  wud  break  in  around   4 AM nd  continue  till 8PM....such  long  day lite  hrs  definitely  a  reason  for   superlative  activity  nd  longevity....The  Land  of  the  Rising  Sun  we  bow  before thee....!!!

.....Straight frm the Isles....

.......finlly  it settled  with  sporadic  outbreaks  ....its  brk time  now  as the Holy mnth is  here...thr  was  a  mad rush in the  streets & stores  ,  tru  to the Island Character  of  amassing  goods lest  thr  is  a  shortfall in the holy  mnth....the  new  Presidency &  the New  Parliament ....People r  by & large happy  & some amount  of  Conservatism is  thr  on  Govt.  fund  utilisation .....Wht   will u  call tht  ?.....ahh...Austerity thts the  European  word of tackling  recession ....Gud  for any  developing Nation .....as  Ramadaan  will progress...thr will  be decline in routine Pt. clientele frm the Islands....thr  will be some  breathing space as  Hospital  hrs  r  truncated....as  the 5th  phase  of  India Polls  r underway  ,  wht a   mature  nation india has  turned   out to be ....smooth  Elections to world's  Largest democracy   , notwithstanding  a  huge  onslaught  by  Natural disaster  of a  recently  concluded Cyclone  ...no  wonder   the  UN  is impressed as  statements  suggest frm the  World  body  of India's  superb  handling of  the  Calamity ....With the  passage  of  time with  India  in the  lead ,  the  region  will be  developing in a  fast  pace strong South Asia  region .... 

.... General election....

....Reminded  of  the General Elections  in India of the Seventies until  Nineties ,  Post Independence, wherein  it  was a day  long affair  & quite  turbulent  in  that ...Post  T N Seshan  as  CEC a altogether  difft  approach was  adopted  to avoid clashes ,  in  tht  ,  the Current  election  is  a  7  phase  one , an  unprecedented  1 , 1/2  mnth  in  a  trying Indian summer .  Tru  clashes  are dramatically  less &  the world's largest Democracy will  see  smooth  change in guard. The EVM s hv replaced the ballot paper ...all  very  smooth ....but  the spirit of the  Electioneering  now  truncated  phase  wise  is  missing ...  probably  this  is  wht  is  modern  times  & mature  electorate  is all  abt  ...God Bless    the nation ......

.....the  departing  Gift plaque   was  as  sudden  , as  my  friend's announcement  of  imminent   departure  frm  here  to   Yangon....the quaint silver plaque of  the  Inlay  Lake of  Myanmar facing  the   massive  sea   here @my  6th  flr  Sea  View abode gently  reminds  of  frnds  hitherto  around  , now  far....thr  has  been  a  repeated  exodus  of  frnds  & acquaintances in  the  last  14  yrs ....the  new  order  changing  the  older order ...the  Expats  I mean....with  whom  we  share  lot  in  common ....nonetheless , my local frnds of  these fabulous Isles, with  its , pristine  white sands & the Deep  Blu , with   an abandon  unparalleled , omnipresent , shoulder  to  shoulder.....with  a landmass shrunk as compared  to  the  sea.....more  sea  thn  Land  ,  the  Archipelago is  an  unique  example  of  survival  of  the  fittest....its  younger  generation people  smart  nd  adaptable,  ready  to embrace  the  world....the  older open  to  newer  ideas....the  Silver inlaid  plaque  of  a  boat  &  Fisherman  of  distant  Myanmar,  will  continue  to  cherish our  associations ...of  frnds  , fmlys  , in goodness  nd  in sickness...in festivities  nd  holidays...in acute  shortage  of  time  &  in  business....A   token  of  a  Parting  gift ,  a  journey  reminder .....!!!!

Holi....The Riot of Color.....

Hardik Shubhkamnaye.....Dol Purnimar suvechcha. ..The color is everywhere. ....in day to day Life....its the pair of eyes which has to behold ....thr can be nothing more imp thn positivity in Life....The Colors help us....in every aspect .....in happiness nd sickness....tht we got a Life.....tht we thoroughly enjoyed being humans....The riot of colors must prevail in ur mind .....as our genes nd generations r tempered by such festivity as Holi nd Diwali....customised we r already ....to exude bonhomie, camaraderie, positivity.....Wishing all of U Happy Holi.....

....An Island a Civilization : 2......"...A drop in the Indian Ocean..."

....the  situation on the  work  front  is   grim.....as  it  is  without respite  for  the   hapless blu collared....Jan 12th to 14th Mar nothing much  has  changed  on  the  disease  frnt  as  acute  cases  unprecedented  in  recent  times  continue to  pour in...hands  r full  nd  all agendas   r  backseated  now  , other than  service providing....Good  Lord  gives  us the strength ,day  in  & day  out  the  damage  control  is  on ....the weather is dry  & warm , sporadic  short shower spells ,suitable  for  the  disease process  ,more acute in nature....the  midterm vacation  gets over  for the children in a couple of days & despite  best  intentions  cudn't  make  it  to any Island for  a  short  trip....the  reading  & writing  so  close  to  heart  is  bearing  the brunt  as afternoon arrivals r  late  frm  the  clinic , a  quick lunch  nd  nap  so  very  necessary  to  fire  up  ur cylinders  for  the even  brisk Eve  OPD, tokens  being distributed frm  6pm at the  clinic reception...the  serpentine  q breaths a sigh of relief  as  I laboriously wade  thru  the  clinic outdoors which is  choc a bloc with  all  other  consultants pitching  in ....a  sense of  fulfillment engulfs as I am away frm  my  native land  for this purpose only...a  service rendered ....a  drop  in the Indian Ocean....however miniscule....but  necessary....!!!!   

...an Island ... a Civilisation ....

....it   has  been  a while   after  the  400th  posting  ....as   if    in  hibernation  after  a   mammoth innings of regularly  writing painstakingly  .....mammoth  in a  sense  the  time  needed to  extract  frm  an  exacting schedule  of  service providing of a  nature so  intense  & extreme at  this time  of  the  yr, whn  the disease  process  hv raised up  their  ante across  the  Capital Island & Atolls.....Left  nd Right ,  with  little  elbow space  &  leg room the  stream  of  the  sick nd un cared continue.....needless to  say  ,  all priority , takes  a   back seat.....proud  of the  team  here , supporting  thick  nd thin  .....the  City  wearing a fresh lease  of life  with  the  Greater  Male'  fully  operational  with  the  populace  intermingling  amongst  the   islands as easy accessibility....personally   the  resumption  of  late   shopping hrs   hv  added  a  new   momentum  to  the   sprightly   walk  back   home  , as the streets r  brite  nd   last   minute  shoppers  making  the rounds ....!!!

...Posting  a 400th  is a matter of  great satisfaction ....though it  took  a  trifle  late  to  post  the  same....it  is  like  posting  a triple ton in  Cricket, saving  the innings  ,  & thereafter building  patiently  afresh  an  innings  to  post a formidable  target , for  a possible victory frm  the  jaws  of defeat.....hvin followed  such  classical  innings  of  the  doyens  of Indian  cricket  nd  abroad,  deriving  immense  pleasure frm   the  results....those classical  matches of  Test   cricket had  lot  to  impart  to  character  bldg. as  u  follow  nd  so do  u  emulate  in  real  life :  the  fighting  human  spirit...!!!...over  the  yrs  ,  though , as  we    evolve , the bar   is  being  raised   constantly  & hurried  is   the  path   of   progress,  as  if   thr   is  no   tomorrow.....the  hurried   nature   of  our   progress, though  welcome  , has  its   own  cataclysmic toll & fall....the virtue  of patience & perseverance  is   fast  disappearing ....the   younger  generation....go  getters  &  restless....thr is  a  tangible shift  in  generation gap & older  generation is  in  a  torrid race to  bridge  the  chasm....time  tested old  age  need  to  be honored ,  taken  care  off ,  nd  not  subjected   to  a  race for   bitter  survival....I take  this opportunity    to thank  all  of   you   for  lending  your   support  & ears.....!!!....God  Bless....God   be   with.....!!!

....Homecoming....

Happy to hv trudged the soil of Bihar nd Jharkhand recently. ..In a short span the roots got me upright seemingly nourishing ....thr can be no place close to your heart thn ur native place....The place of ur birth...ur school ...college....Tnx to fmly thr I am still rooted....

......Pilgrimage well made for the yr.....

As the Tohtoh made its way thru the dusty terrain of the Bzr...hitting feverishly the lalgarh Rd to Pathraul ,the Rd felt comfortable well laid now the Pannalal Banerjea Rd..only 'Dokhhinee' the villa survives today...on tht particular stretch to Patel saw mill....which my eyes missed this time...The battery operated Tohtoh took me to temple town Pathraul ,abode of Ma Dokhhina Kali....whr yr after yr we frequented seeking her blessings. ...This New yr was no new fare.....same group of Brahmins doing the ablutions. .. .The video call to Doel  upon return journey draws huge queries of the landscape from her side...The pertinent query of animal sacrifices thr...which she abhors....to top it all...The Railway Running Room now a Virasaat Bhavan thr.....

....A train journey to remember.....

.....The train climbed the bridge over the Ganges at Digha Patna ....my maiden journey to Muzaffarpur by train from Patna....massive as it is I could gauge the massiveness of the Ganges...hvin studied nd lived here for ages....thr was a thrill running down the spine....Pahlejaghat, ...Sonepur....Hajipur....Muzaffarpur....All in a jiffy as I reached before time .....its just evening as the lites faded....avoided a taxi at the RS to reach home....choosing the Rickshaw as it rattled past the stn Rd to the tower nd akhara ghat before reaching destination sikanderpur....The Rickshaw ride thru the Bzr a tenfold growth now with the opulence of a category of anything for sale....u name it u get it at a handshake distance....such availability nd accessibility floors me....The Islander tht I am reduced to the penury of shortages.....It was back to my Kingdom of joy.....
